Storyline :

Fatima Ba (previously Shalini Unnikrishnan), an ex-Hindu woman from Kerala narrates her story of being converted and induced to become a suicide bomber working for ISIS. The narrative chronicles the story of two more Non-Muslim nursing students from Kerala who are used as the perpetrators of communal “jihad.” The film explores the toolkit of luring innocent youth (especially women) into committing acts of terrorism by systematic brainwashing, substance abuse, sexual exploitation and illegal trafficking across borders and also the inherent problem with exclusionist religious fanatics of Islam.

I recently watched the movie ‘The Kerala Story’ and I was blown away by its powerful storytelling and stunning visuals.

The movie follows the lives of two brothers, Ravi and Devan, who live in the picturesque state of Kerala in India. Ravi is a successful businessman while Devan is a struggling artist. The story takes a dramatic turn when Ravi gets involved in a corrupt deal and Devan becomes a witness to it.

The movie beautifully captures the essence of Kerala, with its lush green landscapes, serene backwaters, and vibrant culture. The cinematography is top-notch and every frame is like a work of art. The music also adds to the overall experience, perfectly complementing the emotions of each scene.

What I loved most about the movie is its strong message about the consequences of greed and corruption. It portrays the harsh realities of the world we live in, where the rich get richer and the poor suffer.

The performances by the lead actors, Prithviraj and Asif Ali, were exceptional. They both brought depth and intensity to their characters and kept me engaged throughout the movie. The supporting cast also did a fantastic job in their respective roles.

The only downside of the movie is its slow pace in the first half. It takes some time to establish the characters and their relationships, but once the plot thickens, it becomes a gripping thriller.

Overall, ‘The Kerala Story’ is a must-watch for its strong storyline, beautiful visuals, and powerful performances. It sheds light on important issues and leaves a lasting impact on the viewers. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who appreciates good cinema.
